What’s The Creator’s Image? Let’s start with who…

I’m Lindsey. Growing up, I was always the girl with a camera out for every occasion, even as early as elementary school. Since we didn’t have digital photography back then, I spent much of middle school and part of high school begging my parents for disposable cameras and prints of everything I ever did before moving on to my own film camera and finally, by my senior year, a digital camera. I was first asked to do a wedding in 2012 by a friend who knew that I would be taking photos of everything anyway, and it was then I realized that my hobby could be so much more. I’ve come a LONG way since then, but her courage to use me on her special day gave me the strength I needed to seriously look into photography and I will never forget that.

When I’m not taking pictures for others, I’m hauling my camera out and enjoying every minute I can with my husband of over sixteen years and our sweet little guy. I love hiking and reading and spending time at the beach. We recently returned to Michigan after living in Hawaii for nearly eight years so I’ve been working hard to rediscover the hidden beauty of the Midwest. We also maintain a house church out of our home, so our days are filled with shared meals, Bible studies, and fun times with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

That’s why I chose The Creator’s Image years ago for my business name. I believe we are all created in the image of God and I see every session, every moment, as an opportunity to catch a glimpse of Him in the world and people around me. I am NOT a professional photoshop artist and I believe we were designed as perfectly imperfect reflections of our Creator, so my photos are not airbrushed or, honestly, picture perfect. However, they are full of genuine love, lots of laughter, and a sincere heart for every moment I am blessed to capture.
